More False Labor

I thought last night was going to be the night!  My back was killing me, contractions off and on - pain everywhere.  This lasted for about 4-5 hours before slowly just going away :)  Nice.  It's kind of nice I guess because each time I feel a little more prepared for labor.  This is my third batch of false labor - so it's starting cry wolf :)  Shawn and I exchanged glances this morning as he headed off to work again... still pregnant.  Haha.  You've got to be kidding me! 

Doctors Appointment Today

Still 2 cm and 75% effaced.  Baby still at station +2 (which is VERY low... almost unheard of).  The doctor tried to do a membrane sweep - but she said there was nothing left to sweep!  So it seems I am VERY close.  I thought today was my last appointment, but apparently my last appointment is Sept 1st now, so we won't be discussing inductions until after that time.  Thankfully :)  Here's hoping it doesn't come to that, although I'm starting to think I might be pregnant forever! 

Shawn is STUCK in Olympia....

Shawn is stuck in Olympia - the guy he rides to work with ran out of GAS on the freeway!  Forget about hoping that I go into labor ASAP - let's all focus our energy on hoping that I don't go into labor until they get back on the road!!  It's a hot day to be walking along the freeway... poor guys.

Getting Closer!

I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks, some a little painful since yesterday - they are still random so nothing to get excited about - but I have a feeling something is brewing!  I hope that I go into labor during the week so that my doctor can deliver her!  She's the greatest doctor EVER!  I've never met a woman so positive in my life, always smiling!

Unrelated...

We have the worlds greatest birds at this house!  They are ALL cleaning out my gutters as we speak :)  They are searching for bugs I imagine... but they are doing an excellent job!  Handfuls of gutter gunk are flying out in every direction.   Who says you can't find good help these days...

38.5 week appointment

Not much change from last week :)  The doctor offered to "help" put me into labor... but I passed.  We'll let her do this on her own for now.  Maybe I'll be singing a different tune next week.  Haha.  We are getting excited, and scared... a little more scared than excited actually.  We are so close!! :)

Awaiting Baby Summer!

I've decided to start a blog for those who are interested in following baby Summer's arrival and first days. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant, so only 3 weeks to go! She is finally in head down position, and we hope she stays that way until her big arrival. I'll post updates here, and photos of the little wiggle monster as soon as she's born.

Shawn and I want to keep the birth and first few hours private - so we have a little time to soak in the excitement of our bundle of joy (and recover of course) :) But we will be sending out a notification via picture message to those who are interested.
